Salon Owners - A Silver Lining in a Down Economy

No matter who we talk to, everyone seems to know someone who is struggling in our current economic situation. Salon owners are no different... and in most cases not only are Salon owners concerned with keeping their doors open, their staff is concerned as well. We are swiftly approaching the biggest holiday season of the year; this is no time for anyone to be worrying about their business, job or career.

What if there was a way where not only the Salon owner could guarantee success for themselves, but for everyone in his or hers Salon… and even create an incentive for stylists to remain with the salon? No one wants to loose their stylists, but we all know what happens when a successful Solon owner looses a well liked and successful stylist… clients often follow their stylist and the Solon owner looses not only a great stylist, but clients as well. Well what if a Solon owner never had to worry about that scenario ever again. And what if everyone could win with a system so easy to implement that it could easily cause a snowball effect in any geographical location?

Two very successful business owners, one who had previously been a successful corporate executive with the McDonalds Corporation for over 20 years, are guest speakers with Laura Laire, Director of Field Development and Training for Motives and Personal Care for Market America. Follow this link to listen to Laura and her two guests explain just how simple it is and the possibilities for everyone to win – including clients of Salon owners and their staff.

Once you have listened to Laura, contact any salon owner you know, or someone you know who knows a salon owner, and have them listen to this conference call as well. There is no doubt, once salon owners listen to this conference call there will be enough interest to get more information on “The MA Salon Opportunity”. All that needs to be done then is to contact me to get additional information on just how salon owners can leverage and take advantage of this brilliant marketing strategy and business development system.

Stay positive, continue to gain knowledge, and look to the future – there is always a “Silver Lining” if one keeps their options and eyes open. Leveraging, diversifying along with solid business solution systems are keys that unlocks doors to success.

A Runner’s Guide to Brookhaven Port-a-Potties

Some runners say that their biggest fear of over-hydration is hyponatremia. Well, mine is finding and using a Port-a-Potty during a run. I confronted this fear weekly while training for the Boston Marathon under strict doctor's orders of staying well hydrated and became a potty critic of some acclaim within my running group. I thought it might be nice to share with my fellow runners the wealth of information I gained as I critically reviewed the various Port-a-Potties in Brookhaven.

Fortunately, I did not have to spend a considerable amount of time in any of the potties I visited (my P.R. was 21 seconds) but I did develop a rating system as follows.

One Diamond
These Port-a-Potties appeal only to the desperate runner. They provide essential, no-frills accommodations but fail to meet the basic requirements pertaining to comfort or cleanliness. They are out of toilet paper, have been on location forever so they smell horrible, they are located up a hill and sometimes tilt heavily to one side.

Two Diamond
These Port-a-Potties appeal to the runner seeking more than basic accommodations. They provide modest enhancements to the facility such as occasional toilet paper, not having to climb a fence to get to them and the lack of refuse on the floor. They still smell pretty bad.

Three Diamond
These Port-a-Potties appeal to the runner with comprehensive needs. Potties are multifaceted with a distinguished style, including marked upgrades in the level of comfort provided meaning toilet paper is available, the location of the potty is close to the road and it is a relatively new placement. There remains a lingering unpleasant odor association.

Four Diamond
These Port-a-Potties are upscale in all areas. Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish and are suggestive of sports arena facilities. The physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. There are two rolls of toilet paper, working vents, they are located close to the road and have been placed within the past 30 days. The odor is almost undetectable assuming no recent visitors.

Five Diamond
The Mack Daddy of portable toilets, these Port-a-Potties reflect the characteristics of the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. Accommodations are first class and are suggestive of discount department store facilities. Physical attributes are extraordinary in every manner. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include fresh rolls of toilet paper, hand sanitizers, a mirror, great road locations and placement on location within seven days. The odor is undetectable.

Using my criteria, I am sorry to tell you that I was unable to locate any four diamond or five diamond opportunities, although one of my running partners reported a hand sanitizer in one near Silver Lake – I totally missed it. However, I can report on some solid three-diamond accommodations, which I will share with you below. I also thought you would appreciate being warned about the cans that fell below average. Keep in mind, this is only one runner's opinion and the vendors of these toilets are not to blame – it is all about maintenance.

Successfully Fighting Autism – Information Parents can Use!

Internet Marketing Company joins Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey, Dustin Hoffman, Anthony Edwards and others in fight to help children with Autism.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (June 4, 2008) — Market America announced today that it is in the development and testing stages of a new line of nutraceutical products that will support the health of children with Autism and related neurodevelopmental challenges. Specialized laboratory testing often demonstrates sub-optimal levels of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids in people with Autism, which can be addressed with nutritional supplements. Despite these findings, Market America found in its research that parents and health professionals alike are frustrated with the limited nutritional products available in the marketplace.

Nutritional supplementation has also been addressed by parents of children with Autism, including actors Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey. In a recent article McCarthy and Carrey authored on cnn.com, they state that one of the factors believed to have helped their son recover was vitamin supplementation, along with a gluten and caffeine free diet, detox of metals, and anti-fungals for yeast overgrowth that plagued his intestines.
A Rare Find… High Tech, Higher Ed, Hi Fun!

You just never know what you’re going to find in the greater Atlanta area. This week has been hectic for it has been dedicated in relocating to my new office; and wouldn’t you know it Murphy was right there helping me… as I was setting up my computer system I had a vital component go Tango Uniform… for those of you who are not military savvy or familiar with that term – politely it’s Toes Up… anyway, I have a health practitioner that I see each month and I always pass by this little computer shop located on Alpharetta Hwy in Alpharetta. I stopped by a few months ago just to take a look around and as I was gazing at all the great new computer systems they had (great prices for all the stuff on their systems) I couldn’t help notice this very young gentleman at the front desk helping a customer with his new laptop and answering what I though were pretty advanced questions. Now when I say this young gentleman, I really mean YOUNG, perhaps 12ish, and just the most articulate individual I have ever met when it came to computers - a young entrepreneur in the making and no doubt the pride and joy of very proud parents. I finished looking around and left, making a mental note to come back in the near future. That was all I knew about this place… until today.

2008 - Shoppers Prefer Web to In-Store Shopping

The E-Tailing Group's latest consumer survey
reveals that the Web is definitely the preferred shopping channel for
multi-channel shoppers. While only 44% said they'd be shopping in
brick-and-mortar stores, 49% of respondents said they intend to shop
online during the holiday season. Those online shoppers had a variety
of reasons for choosing the Web over stores:

    • 88% said they'd shop online to save time.
    • 84% would use the Web to seek out hard-to-find products.
    • 83% wanted to access a larger selection using the Web.
    • 83% planned to shop online to avoid crowded malls.
    • 80% said they'd shop online to save money.

We've
said it before- now is the time for these businesses to prepare for the
holiday season. It's clear that a vast number of shoppers are going to
opt in purchase their holiday gifts online this year. Do you know
business owners who are not prepared, who are not where they need to
be? It is definitley not too late. Help us help them by not letting
these valuable customers slip through their fingers… to their
competitors! I know of no other company capable of providing a faster

Turn-Key, Fully Integrated, Online Business Solution System

at
a fraction of the cost of traditional Web Developers. And, if that
isn’t enough of an incentive, what if the business owners were given
the opportunity to see, touch and feel an entire site, suited to their
industry, even before purchasing? Getting hands-on and able to see how
it could be of benefit and value to a business owner is a “Dream Come
True”. No up-front money to see if it will work, simply evaluating and
if the solution works for them they are online within hours, not weeks
or months… plenty of time to meet the holiday rush.

Have them contact us and Request a Free Online Business Solution System Evaluation

The Seed of Growth for a Successful Business

Never before in the history of business have small- and mid-size
businesses ever faced such challenges and uncertainty as they find in
today’s daunting economic instability. Cash flow is down, credit has
tightened up, productivity is uncertain, putting an uneasy light on the
future of many business owners. For the first time many of these owners
wonder how they are going to compete with companies having excess
capital to sustain them… how do they better market themselves while
keeping their own costs down… how will they grow their business? What
is that magic seed that will help them grow their business?
